New web features - making plant selection simpler - newsite2011

We're about to update our website.  It's been a year since the new-look site went live and we've noted your feedback and extended certain areas to make the whole experience of Coles Plant Selection run a little more smoothly online.  The main changes are:

  • We have some brand-new images on the front page, just to freshen up a little!
  • You can now REQUEST A CATALOGUE from anywhere on the site
  • The WHAT WE GROW pages have been extended, with an introduction page and How To instructions.
  • You can now BROWSE BY CATEGORY, choosing the stock type you are interested in.
  • Each stock category now has its own page – this allows for fuller information, including National Plant Specifications where appropriate
  • The KEYWORD SEARCH field is now much more helpful – you can put in any keyword, select from the drop-down suggestions or hit Enter for a full list of possibilities.
  • Common names have now been added.
  • Before logging in, you can sort your search by using the drop-down menu above the list – “Group by Size” will bring all size options together, “Clear Sorting” removes all sorting
  • After logging in, the drop-down Sort by Menu allows sorting by PRICE, STOCK QTY and GROUP BY SIZE.
  • You can now easily add multiple lines to your Palette and can view your Palette at a click of the button.
  • Within the Palette, the lines added are now totalled by CATALOGUE PRICE. The Palette also has a total value calculated.
  • Within the Palette, you can now add your own lines, provided you add the Size required, in case you can't find the items you require from our list.
  • Within the Palette, you can now indicate that you wish to order the items from your Palette, by checking a box before you submit it to us by email.  We will still to confirm this to you, dependent on availability, size of order, delivery requirements etc.

These changes have been made to make it easier to navigate and search, to make it easier to create a Plant Palette/enquiry and to make it easier for us to respond.

Your feedback is vital - if you have any comments on the improvements or anything about the site, please email Lynn Hunter, our Marketing Manager at marketing@colesnurseries.co.uk
